Show is still on!!!

As per the Minnesota Attorney General mandate, we are altering the Jackson County Fair to be a Youth Livestock/Non-Livestock fair.  Livestock will not be mandated to stay at the fair.

Livestock shows will be as scheduled.  An updated schedule with individual species arrival and departure to come.

Non-Livestock schedules will remain the same.

Camping will still be available.

COVID-19 Precautions

An alternative to showing livestock through 4-H or FFA has been established.
Rules and other Info:
- All animals will be required to stay the duration of the fair until their release times.
- Any and all Jackson County youth between the ages of 5-21 (as of January 1st, 2020) are eligible to participate in the Jackson County Livestock Shows.
- REGISTRATION: URLs for each specific animal area will be available via email, Facebook, and the Jackson County Fair website to register. Those families with multiple showmen may enter entries under one name (Ex:...Zach/Maggie Post); however, we ask that all kids names are included.
- In order to limit face to face interaction, we will be utilizing weigh cards for beef, swine, sheep, and goats. Scales will be set up in each barn for weighing. For those families who are not familiar with weigh cards, we will be releasing a tutorial at a later date. You will receive your weigh cards when you bring your livestock to the fair.
- Showmanship age breakdowns will be as follows:
Pee-Wee (completed grades K-2)
Junior Division (completed grades 3-5)
Intermediate Division (completed grades 6-8)
Senior Division (completed grades 9-13 or 21 years of age as of January 1st, 2020)
- Pee-Wee showmen WILL be allowed to show in the regular show just like any other exhibitor, per parent’s discretion. There will also be a Pee-Wee Participation Showmanship Class (similar to a Cloverbud). Pee-Wee showmen DO NOT need a parent/elder to help them, it is allowed during showmanship and the show per parent’s discretion.
- There will be a Premium Auction for exhibitors between grades 3-13.
- For more rules and regulations check out the Premium Book
- All questions can be sent to or you can call Maggie Post at 507-841-1200.
